Citizens Medical Center worked with Prochaska & Associates to develop an overall Facility Master Plan for their campus in Colby, Kansas.  In addition to the hospital building itself, a freestanding clinic had been constructed on the site, as well as an ambulance storage garage.  The Master Plan joined the hospital and clinic with a proposed addition to provide enclosed access between the buildings and also positioned a new common main entrance to the facility within this link.  The Master Plan included modifications for all hospital departments and the replacement of the primary mechanical/electrical systems.

Following completion of the Master Plan, a project was initiated to temporarily relocate the Financial Services and Health Information Management departments into a separate, freestanding metal building adjacent to the hospital.  These departments will eventually relocate into the future link addition, and the metal building will be used for vehicle storage and archived file storage.  Prochaska & Associates is also working on an addition which is currently underway at the hospital to expand Physical Therapy, Linen Services, Housekeeping, and the primary mechanical and electrical services to the hospital
